Our pre-filled
dilution vials are designed for the food, dairy, pharmaceutical, water and
wastewater industries. Each vial is offered in various fill sizes along with a
variety of buffering enrichment solutions. The wide 45-mm opening accommodates
large samples. A flip-top lid allows for easy one-handed opening. Bottles also
feature clear polypropylene for easy sample viewing. Final pH for all solutions
is 7.2 pH ±0.2 pH at 25°C. Butterfield’s Phosphate Buffer is used as a diluent
for the preparation of dilutions in plate count and other laboratory processes.
It is recommended as a general diluent in laboratory procedures by the Federal
Drug administration and in the Bacteriological Analytical Manual. This product
is described in the Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and
Wastewater for use in water testing. Contains deionized water and monopotassium
phosphate. Phosphate Buffer with Magnesium Chloride is used as a diluent for
the preparation of dilutions in plate counts in the dairy and food industries.
It is recommended by the APHA for the recovery of injured microorganisms from
dairy and food samples. Contains deionized water, monopotassium phosphate, and
magnesium chloride. Peptone Water is used for the cultivation of non-fastidious
organisms such as Salmonella, for performing the indole test, and for studying
fermentation patterns. Contains deionized water, monopotassium phosphate, and
sodium chloride. These bottles are gamma irradiated.
